Last tickets taken as curtain falls on EuroCup Women Regular Season

MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - The last day of the Regular Season saw the last remaining tickets punched for the next stages of the competition, as well as a goodbye to those clubs whose participation has now ended.

Botas Spor advanced with a 90-79 success against Beroe, a victory sparked by 16 points, 6 assists and 5 steals from Olcay Cakir Turgut. In the same group, the flawless Cukurova Basketbol flexed their muscles by  84-58 against A3 Umea as Alina Iagupova fired 22 points.

Orman Genclik booked their spot by winning 50-69 against ACS Sepsi-Sic in Group D as Kahleah Copper dropped 22 points and Aneika Henry claimed a double-double of 16 points and 11 boards.

There was an eventful evening in Group H as KSC Szekszard made the next round and took top spot after beating Basketball Nymburk 49-72. Erica McCall scored 19 points in a perfect shooting night, Frida Eldebrink weighing in with 22 points and Abby Bishop putting up another double-double after harvesting 16 points and 11 rebounds.

There was a surprise setback for MBK Ruzomberok against the previously winless Cinkarna Celje as they went down 70-67, but they still managed to squeeze into second place despite the defeat.

Lyon ASVEL Feminin advanced with a convincing 109-63 victory at home to Rutronik Stars Keltern as Brazilian forward Clarissa Dos Santos starred with 23 points and 11 boards.

However, it was BLMA that won Group I, completing a perfect Regular Season record with a 66-96 win at VBW CEKK Cegled. Opals and WNBA star Samantha Whitcomb showed out with a jaw-dropping 40 points as she made 10 triples.

In Group J, there was joy for Basket Landes without a ball being bounced as they cheered on compatriots and the unbeaten Tarbes who took down BBC-Sint-Katelijne-Waver 51-61 to deny the Belgians continued participation.

A quartet of clubs also breathed a sense of relief as they were confirmed as the best third-placed teams in their respective Conferences to take the last remaining tickets.  These were handed out to Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje, MBA Moscow, Basketball Nymburk and Nantes Reze.

Elsewhere, Gorzow warmed up for the next phase by hammering Sodertalje 113-57 which was the biggest tally by any side this season and underpinned by 27 points from Laura Juskaite. Tsmoki-Minsk exited along with Inventa Kursk, but did get to sign off with a 72-55 success which was mainly due to Viktoriya Hasper and her 15 points and 14 rebounds.
