Three more teams take precious tickets to the next phase

MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - A trio of clubs all took a positive step to the next stage of EuroCup Women, with Artego Bydgoszcz, Energa Torun and Lointek Gernika Bizkaia advancing. 

Artego Bydgoszcz were the first club on the ultimate game day of the Regular Season to ensure safe passage as they completed a  44-55 lockdown of Group A rivals,  Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje. The road win was fueled by a 14-point and 12-rebound double-double from Dragana Stankovic. 

In Group B, it was Energa Torun who stepped forward with a commanding 95-48 triumph at home to Niki Lefkada. Angelika Stankiewicz netted 20 points off the bench and their progression was assured through group winners and reigning champions, Galatasaray throwing a defensive blanket over MBA Moscow 59-45 and extinguishing the aspirations of the Russian side.

Lointek Gernika Bizkaia proceed to the next phase after posting an eye-catching 84-66 win against Clube Uniao Sportiva. Great Britain guard, Rachael Vanderwal weighed in with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. CMB Cargo Uni Gyor misfired against the group winners, Spar Citylift Girona 56-78.

In Group C, a near triple -double  of 15 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists from Bozica Mujovic propelled Wisla CANPACK past their fellow qualifiers Besiktas 78-49.

Mersin are still alive and in contention in Group D after they took down leaders Enisey 90-77.  Ashley Walker was sensational with 34 points and 11 rebounds for Mersin, with the Turkish side awaiting their fate based on Thursday's result between ACS Sepsi Sic and Orman Genclik.

Group G is now settled, with the only last matter to be decided, who is taking top spot and that honor went to DVTK Miskolc who won 63-61 against last year's Finalists, Reyer Venezia. Dora Medgyessy dropped 10 dimes to her Miskolc teammates.  In the same pool, Nantes Reze signed off their participation with  flourish by beating  KP Brno 93-84 in a double-overtime classic.

Finally in Group J, Basket Landes must sit tight and wait for Thursday's results after finishing 3-3. They eased out Elfic Fribourg 70-85, with 18 points from Mamignan Toure and 10 assists from Celine Dumerc.
