Juve star Chiellini throws support behind Italy's basketball team
TURIN (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers) - Everyone in Italy is backing the Azzurri to start to their World Cup Qualifiers in style and that includes Juventus football star Giorgio Chiellini.
The former Italy defender showed up at Italy's practice today in Turin to wish his countrymen luck and was made to feel a part of the team after being presented with a national team jersey that had his name and customary No. 3 on it.

Chiellini, who played at European Championships and World Cups for Italy's football team, made his first national team appearance in 2004. He retired from international football on November 13 with 96 caps.
Italy's basketball game on Friday at Turin's 4,500-seater PalaRuffini is sold out. The Italians will play Croatia in their second game of the World Cup Qualifiers on Sunday in Zagreb.
