Slovenia's absent heroes wish team well ahead of Qualifiers

LJUBLJANA (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers) - Several important members of Slovenia's triumphant FIBA EuroBasket 2017 side may not be with the national team for this month's World Cup Qualifiers yet they are with it in spirit.

The coach of this summer's team, Igor Kokoskov, is with the Utah Jazz as a member of the NBA club's coaching staff while Luka Doncic, Anthony Randolph and Edo Muric are with their respective clubs in Europe. Each sent well wishes to the team ahead of Friday's home clash with Belarus and Sunday's game at Spain.

Zoran Dragic, a teammate of Muric's at Anadolu Efes in Turkey and one of Slovenia's best national team players in recent years, also sent a message of support.
