Venezuela calls on core national stars for Americas Qualifiers opener
CARACAS (FIBA Basketball World Cup) – Venezuela’s new Head Coach Fernando Duro announced the 24-player preliminary list for the first window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Americas Qualifiers.

Venezuela will host Colombia in Barquisimeto’s Domo Bolivariano on November 24 and three days later the Venezuelans will face Brazil in Rio de Janeiro’s Carioca Arena 1.
Almost every member of the 2015 continental championship team is on the list, that also gives a glimpse into the future of Venezuelan basketball in names like José Materán, Pedro Chourio, Michael Carrera, Junior Martinez and Jose Aranguren.
Venezuela will also take on Chile in Group B of the Qualifiers to the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
