Egypt take on Tunisia ahead of a must-win World Cup Qualifiers clash against Cameroon

LUANDA (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers) - Tunisia skipper Makram Ben Romdhane on Friday revealed they are hoping to close their FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers campaign undefeated.

The 29-year-old's remarks came on the back of Tunisia's 89-51 win over Morocco, which saw the African champions extend their World Cup Qualifiers winning streak to an impressive 10-0 with two games remaining.

However, their next opponent Egypt desperately need to capitalize from their 85-58 triumph over Chad in order to stay alive in the race for one of the five spots on offer for African countries for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 in China.

If recent clashes between these two teams are anything to go by,  then Tunisia might stay unbeaten on Saturday.

The last time Tunisia and Egypt faced off two months ago in Tunis for the first leg of Group E of the Qualifiers, the hosts outclassed Egypt in a 69-47.

"We came here to win all three games. That was the only plan we talked about. We want to go to China. But to win the next two games we'll need a lot more effort," Egypt's Anas Mahmoud responded.

In order to keep their World Cup aspirations alive, Egypt will need to find answers for Tunisia's three-point prowess, and, more importantly, disrupt their opponents disciplined defensive plan.
