Ruhezamihigo confident ahead of Betway Power Semi-Final clash

KAMPALA (FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017) - Patriots shooting guard Hamza Ruhezamihigo is positive that his side has what it takes to stop Betway Power in their Semi-Final tie on Friday at the ongoing FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017 Zone 5 qualifiers in the Ugandan capital city of Kampala.

Patriots, who are pre-tournament title favorites, have made their intentions clear at the regional tournament and the place in the Final Round is what they are eyeing.

"It is going to be a battle against Betway Power. They are a good team but our goal remains the same, to make it to the Final and win that ticket." - Ruhezamihigo

Henry Mwinuka's side has already shown that they can handle the pressure of playing against a Ugandan side and frustrate them in front of their home crowd and according to Ruhezamihigo, it will be the same against Betway Power.

In an exclusive interview with FIBA.basketball, Ruhezamihigo said, "We do not care really about them being at home. This feels like home also. I think that in our last game against City Oilers, we won some fans over and they know what we are capable of."

"It is going to be a battle against Betway Power. They are a good team but our goal remains the same, to make it to the Final and win that ticket."

Meanwhile, Betway Power's forward Mike Makiadi is cautious about his side's level of discipline on court but believes if they stay to the script, they will march into the Final on Saturday.

"The game against Patriots is not going to be a walk in the park. We have to display discipline both on offense and defense. We should have very minimal turnovers and we need to rebound the ball very well," he emphasized.

"I think that they are very slow but they have very good point guards and if we can stop them we can have an easy game."

The winner of the tournament will represent FIBA Africa Zone 5 at the 12-team continental showpiece set to be held in Tunisia in December.
