EuroLeague Women among the fastest growing sports properties in the world

MUNICH (Germany) - EuroLeague Women has been named as one of the leading sports properties in the world based on search growth, highlighting the continuously growing global interest in the competition.

After achieving a stellar 76 percent rise in searches, the league was ranked fourth within the extensive ranking of 55 of the world's biggest properties as part of the SportOnSearch 2024 report powered by Redtorch.

The report, based on search results in 2023 compared to the previous four-year average, also placed EuroLeague Women second among all women's sports properties, only behind Barclays Women's Super League. 

The search growth metric is widely recognized as one of the primary indicators for the brand health of sports properties and also underlines the phenomenal wider digital growth that EuroLeague Women continues to enjoy, with 2022-23 proving to be a record-breaking season.

It is also representative of the general interest in women's basketball worldwide, with the report highlighting notable search growth in the nations of Lithuania, Serbia, Greece and Spain during 2023. 

Meanwhile the results of EuroLeague Women were also a significant contributor to the sport of basketball in general coming out as the second highest sport ranked by increases in search at 48 percent.
