SuperCup Women 2021

The SuperCup Women is the opening event of the basketball calendar that traditionally sees the reigning EuroCup Women champions take on the EuroLeague Women title-holders.

The competition returned in 2021, following a one-year hiatus, with reigning EuroCup Women champions Valencia BC upsetting EuroLeague Women title-holders 73-66 on their home floor at the Pabellon Municipal Fuente de San Luis to win the competition for the first time.

Cristina Ouvina was named the MVP, having collected 11 points, 9 assists and 5 steals.

Valencia BC have become only the second Spanish team to lift the trophy, following on from Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca.

They are also the sixth different club to put their name to the silverware, joining UMMC, Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje, Dynamo Kursk and ZVVZ USK Praha.
