    At the same venue defending zone champions Hetro Bullets thrashed Chambeshi 64 - 42 while David Naamb's Ndola Clippers blew out Konkola Trotters 96 - 46.

    Luanshya Eagles recorded their third straight loss going down 65 - 75 to Mufulira Original Magnets.

    In Lusaka at the National Sports Development Centre Nkhosi Heroes maintained their bid to retain the men's southern zone league championship after a hard earned 71 - 67 win over fellow title chasers Lusaka City Council Looters.

    New league entrants Lusaka Spartans were baptised 53 - 88 by University of Zambia Pacers while Barclays Magic gunned down Hawks 67 - 39.

    In the women's division at the same venue, the Nets beat the Joseph Chowa tutored Rim Oilers 51 -47.

    At Looters Abattoir it was a black Saturday for southern zone women's title holders Green Buffaloes who found themselves at the wrong end of the stick when LCC Lootresses beat them 69 - 41.
