ZARAGOZA (2016 FIBA U17 World Championship) - The outstanding live-stream viewership numbers at the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship have carried over from the Group Phase into the Final Phase, with Tuesday's thrilling Round of 16 clash between Australia and Bosnia and Herzegovina broke all records.

The nail-biter elimination game in Utebo drew nearly 200,000 viewers combined on FIBA's Facebook page and FIBA's YouTube Channel, making it the biggest live audience for a youth basketball game.

The Facebook live stream registered 111,230 views while 85,231 viewers were glued to their screens on YouTube.

The peak concurrent viewership was 24,000, just 1,000 short of the FIBA record set on the occasion of the official draw for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The Australia-Bosnia and Herzegovina figures come after the Group Phase of the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championships for Men and Women attracted some two million views. On average, 33,000 viewers watched the men's games while 10,000 turned in for the women's contests during the pool stages of the two competitions.

FIBA is committed to livestreaming 480 games and 840 hours across its leading world and continental youth national team championships on its YouTube and Facebook platforms this year.
