Only three teams will advance to Vienna as some of the world’s top 3x3 squads collide in Manila

MANILA (Philippines) – The race for tickets to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Vienna 2026 intensifies as the FIBA 3x3 Manila Challenger 2026 brings together another stacked field in the Philippines from May 8-9.

As the third FIBA 3x3 Challenger stop of the season, Manila promises high-stakes action with the top three teams earning qualification spots to Vienna. Following an explosive start to the 2026 campaign, several heavyweights and rising contenders now head to one of 3x3 basketball’s most passionate basketball fanbases with plenty on the line.

Serbian powerhouse Liman enters the tournament as one of the headline acts. Led by the dynamic Stefan Milivojevic, Liman will look to impose their trademark physicality and shot-making against a deep and dangerous field. They have made the Finals in both the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Utsunomiya Opener and Chengdu. Can they make it three in a row at WT Manila?

German squads Skyliners and Baskets Bonn are also expected to make serious noise. Skyliners continue to establish themselves as one of the breakout teams of the season behind the clutch scoring of Stefan Kojic, while Fabian Giessmann will anchor a talented Bonn side eager to secure a FIBA 3x3 World Tour berth.

One of the most intriguing teams in the field is Shanghai (CHN), powered by high-flying star Cameron Forte. Shanghai have already shown flashes of brilliance this season and could be poised for a deep run in Manila.

Fans should also keep a close eye on Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL), featuring Olympic gold medalist Nauris Miezis. Their experience and chemistry make them a serious threat in any tournament setting.

The international flavor of the event continues with contenders such as Toulouse (FRA), Toronto (CAN), London (GBR), Phoenix (USA) and Fuengirola (ESP) all aiming to punch their ticket to Vienna.

For London, veteran leader Ashley Hamilton will once again be central to their hopes, while Spain’s Fuengirola will rely heavily on the crafty play of Diego De Blas.
