The team will once again be led by the class and experience of Silvia Dominguez, Alba Torrens and Laura Gil who provide massive know-how and quality down the spine of the team in the backcourt, wings and frontcourt.

Mendez will also be able to rely on plenty of ballers who are playing with confidence in top-performing club teams such as Valencia and Perfumerias Avenida, including the likes of Raquel Carrera, Queralt Casas, Leonor Rodriguez and Maite Cazorla.
With Maria Conde also on-song right now for EuroLeague Women side ZVVZ USK Praha, there is plenty to like about the candidate list.

Meanwhile, there are also opportunities for Laura Quevedo who has impressed massively in EuroCup Women this season at Movistars Estudiantes, plus Irati Etxarri of Cadi La Seu.
The most significant omission is FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2021 and Tokyo 2020 standout Astou Ndour. The center is currently unavailable, having recently lifted the WNBA Championship with the Chicago Sky.
Spain will compete against Hungary and Romania during the first window next month, in a group that also contains Iceland.
