While former Mozambique international Deolinda Ngulela is now set to make her debut as assistant coach, Aquila Mucubaquire has been described as her perfect replacement.
The 20-year-old Mucubaquire has recently been named MVP of 2017 National Championship season.
She is joined by newcomers Eleoteria Lhavanguane, Estefania Chiziane and Delma Zita who have featured for Mozambique youth teams.
Regulars Odelia Mafanela, Leia Dongue, Rute Muianga and Deolinda Gimo return once more and are likely to play important roles on and off-court. They're part of the six players who featured at 2014 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Turkey.

This year's 12-team African Championship will take place in Mali, from August 18-27, and it serves as a qualifier for the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Spain.
Mozambique have been drawn in Group B along with Senegal, Nigeria, Egypt, Guinea and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
