Ahead of this year's edition of the competition - set to take place from November 10-19 in Angola - the 31-year South Sudanese forward is excited about the ever-growing possibility to lift the coveted African club title.
Suiting up for FIBA Africa Zone 6 champions Ferroviario de Maputo from Mozambique, Chan feels she has positioned herself in the right team at the right time by playing for a serious title contender and admits it feels great.
"In my basketball career, all I have left on my bucket list is two things to accomplish and I can happily retire: win the women's club championship and play for the national team - South Sudan." - Chan
While she waits for the South Sudan Basketball Association to conclude plans to launch a women's senior side for Africa's youngest country only created in 2011, Chan is hard at work to live her dream.

In an exclusive interview with FIBA.basketball, Chan said, "As I step on the biggest stage of women’s club championship, it is beyond basketball, beyond me. It is for my people on a mission to restore hope and faith in humanity, a soul at a time in my capacity as a citizen and will live to do so till the day God calls me home."
"In my basketball career, all I have left on my bucket list is two things to accomplish and I can happily retire: win the women's club championship and play for the national team - South Sudan. For me, it means that I have a chance to realize my dream of lifting an African women's club championship trophy."
During last week's Zone 6 Qualifiers in Botswana - where they went unbeaten - Ferroviario de Maputo showcased an admirable style of basketball that saw them defeat the reigning African champions Inter Clube and Primeiro de Agosto, both from Angola.
Having lost to Inter Clube 67-49 in last year's final in Maputo, the Mozambican champions with renowned coach Inaki Garcia in charge, are ready for revenge and feel that this could be their year.
