DAKAR (Senegal) - The race for fifth place for the four teams that missed out on the 2024 Women's Basketball League Africa (WBLA) Semis began with victories for Friend's Basketball Association (FBA) and Rwanda Energy Group (REG). Up against Senegalese side Jeanne D'Arc, Ivorians FBA picked a 53-49 victory while the Rwandese champions saw off Congo DR's CNSS 58-46.
The winners clash return to action on Sunday to determine the fifth team as the losers go to battle for seventh.
