Although injuries and inconsistency have slowed their charge since then, Skyliners remain fourth in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour standings and firmly in the winners' conversation.

1. Niklas Kropp
Every championship contender needs a player capable of taking over games. For Skyliners, that's Niklas Kropp. He has become one of the Tour's biggest stars.
The German standout has produced one of the most complete individual campaigns on the FIBA 3x3 World Tour so far, ranking fourth in both total points (132) and Player Value (170.4). His impact extends far beyond scoring. Kropp leads the Tour with 37 two-pointers and 18 blocks while also ranking among the leaders in highlights, rebounds, drives and key assists.
That versatility makes him a nightmare matchup. He stretches defenses with his outside shooting, protects the rim at the other end and creates opportunities for teammates without sacrificing his own offensive aggression. Few players influence every possession quite like Kropp, and that gives Skyliners a legitimate star capable of carrying them through a championship weekend.
2. Perimeter Firepower
Skyliners have built an identity around spacing, shot-making and experience. Kropp's ability to punish teams from beyond the arc is complemented perfectly by veteran Stefan Kojic, whose composure and decision-making help stabilize the offense in big moments. Then came adversity. Leon Fertig's injury robbed the team of an important two-way contributor, and since Utsunomiya, Skyliners have yet to advance beyond the Semi-Finals at any Pro Circuit event. Even so, they've remained competitive behind a core featuring Kropp, Kojic, Kevin Bryant and Florian Wendeler.
Fertig should return in the second half of the season, and once he does, Skyliners gain another proven scorer and defender capable of changing games. They have already shown they possess enough quality to challenge anyone on the World Tour. With Fertig coming back soon, this team will be even more dangerous.
X-Factor
If Kevin Bryant can establish himself as a consistent complementary force, Skyliners become a far more complete team. Bryant has the size to matchup against marquee big men like Nenad Nerandzic (Ub), Aurelijus Pukelis (Raudondvaris Hoptrans) and Dorde Simeunovic (Liman), but he also has the mobility and athleticism to make an impact in multiple ways.
Skyliners have already demonstrated they belong among the FIBA 3x3 World Tour's elite. They have an established star in Kropp, experienced playmakers around him and a proven ability to compete deep into tournaments. Once Fertig returns healthy and their role players become more consistent, all the ingredients will be in place. Their long-awaited breakthrough may be closer than many think.
