FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Belgium
Belgium followed up their historic first ever FIBA Women's EuroBasket title in 2023 by going back-to-back - although only just. In a title game that will be talked about for generations, they won a dramatic 67-65 triumph against Spain in front of almost 8,000 fans - a record attendance for the Final in the 21st century.
Led by MVP Emma Meesseman, they also became only the third nation in the history of the competition to defend their title.
FIBA Women's AfroBasket 2025: Nigeria
Nigeria defeated archrivals Mali 78-64 in the Final in Abidjan as they continued their spectacular golden streak with a record-breaking fifth consecutive title. The success in the showpiece game was also an amazing 29th consecutive victory in the competition and it is now a decade since they last tasted defeat.
Nigeria were led once again by Amy Akonkwo, who was crowned MVP to complete a repeat of the prestigious honor she won in 2023.
FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2025: Australia
Australia finally ended their wait for a maiden FIBA Women’s Asia Cup title after outlasting Japan 88-79 in an absorbing Final. Australia were led by MVP Alexandra Fowler and her teammate Zitina Aokuso, who both controlled the paint, with the former netting 15 points and 6 rebounds in the showpiece game.
The Opals’ perfect fusion of size, experience and skill enabled them to depart Shenzen with not only the silverware, but a flawless 5-0 record.
FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025: USA
USA extracted revenge for the loss against Brazil in the 2023 title game by completing a vibrant 92-84 success this time around. USA lifted the FIBA Women's AmeriCup trophy for the third time in four editions, lighting it up in Santiago behind an MVP display from teenage talent Mikayla Blakes.
The 19-year-old delivered a performance to remember with a stellar 27 points in the title game - the most points by a USA baller in the tournament since 2003.
