MUNICH (Germany) - Following the conclusion of FIBA EuroBasket 2025 and the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Pre-Qualifiers, the European national teams have seen major shifts in the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by Nike.

Two European teams broke ground in the Top 10, led by the newly crowned FIBA EuroBasket 2025 champions and FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 winners Germany, who overtook Serbia to rise into second place overall after conquering their second European title.

Lithuania also moved upward, climbing to ninth place and pushing past their Baltic rivals Latvia, who slipped two spots and fell out of the Top 10. Meanwhile, Spain endured a setback, dropping to seventh following a disappointing Group Phase exit.

The standout climbers were FIBA EuroBasket 2025 runners-up Türkiye , who surged 15 places after their inspired run in Riga. They now hold the #12 spot globally and rank as Europe's seventh-best team.

Other risers included Cyprus, jumping 13 spots to #71, along with Sweden (#40) and Portugal (#47), both advancing nine places; Bosnia and Herzegovina also gained ground, moving up eight positions into #33.
