LJUBLJANA (Slovenia) - There was never any doubt Luka Doncic's name would be on the list when Slovenia announced their preliminary squad for FIBA EuroBasket 2025.
It's equally no surprise to see his name already rising on Slovenia's all-time EuroBasket scoring charts, as the 26-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star continues to etch his legacy into the tournament’s history.
In just 16 games, Doncic has already made a mark - winning the title as an 18-year-old in his debut in 2017, serving as the perfect sidekick to Goran Dragic in Slovenia's first-ever EuroBasket triumph and then finishing as one of the competition's leading scorers in 2022.
No one on the all-time list comes close to Doncic's 19.4 points per game average, but in total points, he still has ground to make up.
Goran Dragic, who leads the list with 696 points in 51 games, remains the benchmark.
Heading into FIBA EuroBasket 2025, Doncic sits eighth all-time among Slovenian scorers with 311 points - trailing a generation of legends who represented the national team and those who came before, but catching up fast.
How high will he rise in September?
