In the basketball business we would call Sunday a ‘rest day’, but FIBATV.com never rests.

There will be plenty of interviews and features to check out plus you can watch all the highlights, or even complete games from the Preliminary Round.

If you’re feeling like watching an entire game here a few suggestions:

Japan vs. Argentina – Group D

Were it not for the heroics of Japan’s Yuko Oga (so far the tournament’s second leading scorer behind only Evina Maltsi) Argentina would be in the Eighth-Final Round instead of playing classification games.

Korea vs. Brazil – Group C

Another barnburner except in this case, unlike the Japanese, the Koreans had nine whole seconds to score the game-winning basket.

Canada vs. China – Group A

The Canadians are a great story and this was the win that vaulted them into the Eighth-Final round, on the back of 25 points from Kimberly Smith.

    ------

But of course that’s just an appetizer for the Eight-Final Round, which begins on Monday and features more than one match-up to get excited about.

But of course all games are not created equal. Here are the four you won’t want to miss, and of course they will all be live on FIBATV.com.

Australia vs. USA – September 29 – Live on FIBATV.com

If the top two teams coming into the 2010 FIBA World Championships can make it through their first two Group E opponents then this game will feature two undefeated teams and the reigning World and Olympic champions.

Czech Republic vs. Spain – September 28 – Live on FIBATV.com

This could be a critical game for the hosts on what they hope will be a run to the Semi-Finals.

France vs. Belarus – September 27 – Live on FIBATV.com

The French are missing some of their best players, but still managed to finish second in their group behind Team USA. Belarus have all their weapons especially on the interior where they could wreak havoc in this game.

    ------

You have to check out the interview Jeff Taylor did with a couple from New Hampshire, John and Betty Hutchinson, who have traveled all the way to the Czech Republic to watch Team USA.

Jeff is polite enough not to ask them their age, but late in the feature John reveals that he is coaching his wife in a road race where she hopes to set some sort of record in the over 90 category!

Over 90 and traveling to far flung European countries to watch basketball! Now those are fans.
