RIGA (Latvia) - Everybody loves a good surprise and the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Round of 16 has witnessed two of the biggest upsets in the competition's history.
Finland rocked the basketball world on the first day of the Round of 16 with their shocking win over Serbia, as Lauri Markkanen and company took down the biggest favorite going into the tournament.
Georgia did their best to match the Finns the following day as they surprised 2022 runners-up France, with captain Toko Shengelia guiding his team into their first-ever Quarter-Finals.
While it doesn't exactly fall in the same category, the only other case of a lower-seeded team from the Group Phase beating higher-seeded opponents is Slovenia, who squeezed past Italy behind an incredible 42-point performance from Luka Doncic.
Now it's your turn to voice your opinion. Who do you think had the biggest surprise of the Round of 16?
