See which teams are set to participate in the third edition of the premiere women's clubs tournament in the Americas.

    MIAMI (United States) — The FIBA Regional Office in the Americas announced the teams for the 2026 edition of the Women's Basketball League Americas (WBL Americas).

    Six teams from five countries will compete for the title. The following clubs will participate in the competition: Bay Area Phoenix (USA), CDC Leones (Chile), Sportiva Italiana (Chile), Defensor Sporting (Uruguay), Ferro (Argentina) and SESI Araraquara (Brazil).

    Games will be played in Santiago, Chile, from September 29 to October 4.

    The Bay Area Phoenix, Ferro and Sportiva Italiana will make their second appearance in the WBL Americas, with each team appearing in the previous edition in 2024. The Bay Area Phoenix finished as runner-up, while Sportiva Italiana and Ferro finished fourth and sixth, respectively.

    Colombia's Indeportes Antioquia was the champion of the first two editions of the tournament.

    This will be the third edition of the WBL Americas, a tournament that brings together the continent's top women's clubs and strengthens FIBA's commitment to elevating women's sports in the region.

    The groups and full schedule will be announced in the upcoming days.
