Moh fires 34 as MGH-less Kuwait Club stay unbeaten
JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia) - Not even the absence of Marcus Georges-Hunt hindered Kuwait Club in remaining perfect in the FIBA WASL-Gulf League, Monday night.
JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia) - Moh Hasan showed the way once again as a depleted Kuwait Club still proved too much and kept Al-Ahli Jeddah winless, 110-92, to remain unbeaten in the FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL), Monday night at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports Hall.
The 23-year-old forward erupted for a game-high 36 points, including 15 in the third quarter alone as he presided over the reigning Gulf League champions' breakaway towards their third win in as many outings to firmly keep their grip of Group A leadership in the sub-zone.
His impressive performance couldn't have come at the most opportune time as the team missed the services of veteran guard Marcus Georges-Hunt due to an ankle injury.

Game heroes: Four more players scored in double figures in the victory, with Moh's brother Hamad providing 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Cady Lalanne came through with another double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Tony Carr submitted his best showing to date with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Young big man Omran Jawhar delivered 14 points and 10 rebounds in a performance highlighted by a rim-rattling dunk at the 2:22-mark of the second period that caused temporary stoppage.

STEP AHEAD Player of the Game: Moh rightfully earned STEP AHEAD Player of the Game honors after turning in his FIBA WASL career-high, wherein he shot 59-percent from the field, including 8-of-12 from deep. He also had 6 boards and 5 dimes to tally an efficiency of 39.
Turning point: Al-Ahli held a slim two-point lead early in the third quarter until Turki Alshemmari and Hamad nailed back-to-back triples to give Kuwait Club the edge, 53-49.
Momentum would swing on their side since, with Moh finishing the said period with high-arcing triple to give themselves the 78-69 advantage. Their lead would go as high as 20 points, 107-87, after Lalanne found Hamad for a triple approaching the game's final minute.
Stats don't lie: Kuwait Club went 15-of-30 from beyond the arc and overall shot 53-percent from the floor. The way they moved the ball surely played a factor as they had 27 assists.
They said: "In the first half, we didn't play really well. Too many fastbreaks for Ahli, too many quick shots where we couldn't get back; too many turnovers. But we kept the score close. Second half we got going. It helped that Moh shot I think 8 out of 12 from the three. Made some tough threes. Put them on pressure." - Peter Schomers, Head Coach, Kuwait Club
"This is a good team, a good club. They're a winning organization. I just wanna do what I do on the court, bring my specialties and just do my best and help us get wins." - Tony Carr, Kuwait Club
"We tried to play our best. We played a very good game. We played until the third quarter, we played a very good game. We were in the game but the injury of Ebanks in the fourth quarter was very tough for us." - Soufiane Moulhi, Assistant Coach, Al-Ahli Jeddah
"We had a great first half. We were battling it out throughout the first half, going back and forth. They're a well-disciplined team, they moved the ball. They have chemistry together. We just did a poor job in the zone, no recognition of what to do. In practice, we gotta start from there." - DeAndre Liggins, Al-Ahli Jeddah
