WABC Level 1 coaching courses in Thailand inspire ideas for future development
BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office - Asia in coordination with BSAT organized back-to-back World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) Level 1 coaching courses in Thailand.
BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office - Asia in coordination with Basketball Sport Association of Thailand (BSAT) organized back-to-back World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) Level 1 coaching courses in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, Thailand.
The courses were conducted by WABC instructor Safa Kamalian. In total across both courses, there were 15 participants.
Parinya Samranbamrung, a participant in the course, said: “The instructor provided us with the expertise, good support, gained knowledge, concepts, skills and new experiences from both practical and theoretical sessions.”
Another participant, Naranya Duangplub, said: “It's a very good project. It is useful for developing basketball coaches. I was passed on knowledge, participated in the activities intensively, and was given specific feedback. I was able to apply the knowledge that I have received. I am impressed.”
Chanyut Rattanamongkol, a participant, added : “The knowledge gained was very helpful. I especially like designing exercises for athletes. This is a very good project that resulted in self-improvement and can be used in coaching athletes immediately.”
Additionally, participant Jeerawan Promchan said: “It's a very good project and was very helpful. It inspired many ideas to develop yourself to be a good basketball coach.”
These courses are part of the Regional Office’s continuous efforts to improve the National Federations, including the coaches, who are an integral part of basketball games.
