WABC Level 1 coaching courses in Beirut leaves participants wanting more
BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office - Asia in coordination with the FLB successfully organized World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) Level 1 coaching course in Beirut.
BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office - Asia in coordination with the Lebanese Basketball Federation (FLB) successfully organized a World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) Level 1 coaching course in Beirut.
The course, conducted by WABC instructor Milan Kotorac, was held from 2 - 7 February.
Joey Abou Chahine, a participant, said: "It was a very good experience, we really benefited from it and hope to be able to do level 2."
Ralph Karam, another participant, said: "It was a very successful clinic and coach Milan was able to help everyone to take their coaching skills to another level. It was tiring because it’s an intensive course but it was worth it because we gained a lot of knowledge. We excited and waiting for level 2.”
The course started with classroom sessions and was followed by on-court sessions to help the participants implement the information they received.
Murad Mrad, a participant, said: "It was an Amazing clinic! To elaborate, we were given lots of knowledge and information, very efficiently and lucrative. On a personal level, it was a great experience."
These courses are part of the Regional Office’s continuous efforts to improve the National Federations, including the coaches, who are an integral part of basketball games.
