LUANDA (Angola) - Thursday's African Qualifiers in Dakar, Douala, and Luanda featured some remarkable individual performances.

There will never be a consensus on who the best performers were, which is why we invite you to share your thoughts.

Before you do, here's an overview of how Brancou Badio, Ousmane Diarra, Chimezie Metu, Jordan Bayehe, and Bruno Fernando stole the show.

Badio knew that missing another clash against Côte d'Ivoire in the current qualifying campaign could have serious consequences for his team.

The new ACB League champion from Valencia rolled up his sleeves and got to work, playing more minutes (33) than any other player.

He shot 4-for-8 from deep, came close to a double-double with one rebound shy, dished out six assists, and derailed Côte d'Ivoire's offense with three steals. The result? Senegal ended Côte d'Ivoire's unbeaten run with an 85-72 win.

Rwanda grew in confidence in the first half, rallying from a 15-point deficit to lead by three. Guinea felt their unbeaten streak was under threat and decided to bring back Ousmane Dramé.

Drame dominated the paint, shooting 7-for-8 and grabbing seven rebounds. He also blocked two shots with thunderous swats. His impact was undeniable in Guinea's 89-63 victory over Rwanda.

In Luanda, Tunisia appeared poised to defeat Nigeria for the second time in the current campaign, but Chimezie Metu had other ideas.

Metu's 17 points and 8 rebounds were vital for Nigeria, who improved to 2-2 and are close to qualifying for the second round.

In Douala, Jordan Bayehe caused Cape Verde all sorts of trouble in just 17:52 minutes on the floor.

In addition to his 14 points, Bayehe contributed four rebounds and two assists to Cameroon's 82-72 victory over Cape Verde.

Both the fans inside the Kilamba Arena and those watching Angola vs. Uganda on television were shocked when Bruno Fernando apparently hurting his right and limped off the court with the help of his teammates.

Before that, however, the former NBA player had terrorized the Ugandan defense with his thunderous dunks and aggressive play in the paint. He finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals as Angola won 95-62.
