    MIAMI (United States) – The opening day of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers Window 3 featured several outstanding individual performances across the two games played. Eric Romero was one of the leaders in Panama's victory over Cuba, helping his team secure a place in the Second Round. The power forward posted a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds, while also recording 4 blocks. Romero finished with a game-high efficiency rating of 27. Uruguay's Joaquín Rodríguez continued his outstanding run with the national team despite his side's loss to Argentina. The shooting guard matched Romero's efficiency rating of 27 after recording a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds, along with 5 assists. Fellow Panamanians Iverson Molinar and Ricardo Lindo also stood out in their team's victory during an impressive collective performance. Molinar contributed 18 points and 8 assists for an efficiency rating of 21, while Lindo made an impact at both ends of the floor with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals, finishing with an efficiency rating of 23. Leandro Bolmaro rounds out the list of nominees after leading Argentina past Uruguay. Returning to the national team after an absence of more than two years, the wing sparked the Albiceleste with 22 points and 3 assists, posting an efficiency rating of 21.
