The 22-year-old exploded for 30 points, 5 three-pointers and 5 rebounds for an efficiency rating of 28. In that same matchup, veteran center Ernesto Oglivie—who had not suited up for the national team since the 2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers—made a strong return with a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, shooting an efficient 9-of-13 from the field in Panama’s victory. Jaime Echenique, Colombia’s towering center, was instrumental in his team’s first win and once again played a pivotal role in their road victory over Chile in Group C. The 2.13-meter big man posted 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. Down the stretch, he sealed the win with a dunk and a key rejection. Point guard Romario Roque also stood out in Colombia’s strong performance, finishing with 16 points, 3 three-pointers and 4 assists, along with an efficiency rating of 20. In Uruguay’s win over Argentina in Group D, Joaquín Rodríguez delivered a complete performance with 20 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. The shooting guard scored his team’s first 13 points, setting the tone before others joined the scoring effort.
