    BRNO (Czechia) - There were some outstanding individual displays on an action-packed day of FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 with games taking place across all four host cities.

    Reigning MVP Emma Meesseman wasted little time in putting the competition on notice that she's intent on holding onto her crown after stunning opening effort in Belgium's 81-52 win against Portugal. She attained a performance efficiency valuation of 34 after adding 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

    Teaira McCowan was back racking up another double-double with Türkiye, this time taking them to a first victory of the tournament as they shrugged off Switzerland 91-67. The center was her usual dominant self as she stepped off court having put up 19 points and 12 rebounds.

    She is joined in the best performers of the day by her teammate Alperi Onar who did some great things in the backcourt. The guard put the Swiss to the sword with 17 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds.
