WUHAN (China) - Belgium have put the rest of the world on notice after posting a record-breaking show against Brazil in their FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournament.
With their ticket for Berlin already assured having won the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025, the Cats swept aside Brazil 99-70 in a fabulous and devasting offensive display.
That included the highest ever total in a quarter for the competition, after they set a new record with a majestic 35 points during the second period of the contest.
It also contributed to recording the third highest ever score for a team, with Belgium beating their own high of 96 points which they racked up against Puerto Rico four years ago.
