St Vincent and the Grenadines (Olympic Solidarity Technical course for coaches) –The technical course for coaches took place between 28 September and 10October in Kingstown, capital city of the island nation.

FIBA-accredited coach Nelson Isley was selected to head the clinic, which was conducted by the country’s basketball federation in conjunction with the National Olympic Committee.

The Level 2 clinic follows the Level 1 held last year by Nelson Isley.

A serie of coaching sessions was conducted on the Grenadine Island of Bequia during the first week, and the second part of the course took place at the National Federation’s conference room for theoretical sessions. The practical sessions were held at the new Montross Court.

In total, 47 coaches benefited from the courses, which were aided by the presence of young players between the ages of 15 and 18, who helped conduct live demonstrations during the practical classes.

The content focused mainly on training sessions for 15-18-year-old players, as well as the criteria for making tactical decisions, the development of team defense, how to attack a zone and the physical preparation of a team.
