    VEN - Teams for Liga Sudamericana named

    CARACAS (Liga Sudamericana) - Cocodrilos from Caracas and Gatos from Monagas will represent Venezuela in the upcoming Liga Sudamericana, which starts on February 26. The tournament sees the best teams from South America going head-to-head with Cocodrilos and Gatos taking part instead of LPB champions Trotamundos and Guaros, who have declined invitations

    CARACAS (Liga Sudamericana) - Cocodrilos from Caracas and Gatos from Monagas will represent Venezuela in the upcoming Liga Sudamericana, which starts on February 26.

    The tournament sees the best teams from South America going head-to-head with Cocodrilos and Gatos taking part instead of LPB champions Trotamundos and Guaros, who have declined invitations.

    Cocodrilos will play in Group A, which takes place in Lima, Peru, alongside hosts Universidad Alas Peruanas, Argentinian side Gimnasia and Chilean outfit Ancud.

    Gatos, meanwhile, replace Guaros in Group C, where they will face hosts Franca (Brazil), Aguada (Uruguay) and San Jose (Paraguay).

    Defending-champions Ben Hur, from Argentina, were drawn in Group B, which takes place in Asuncion, Paraguay. The other teams in the pool are Felix Perez Cardozo (Paraguay), Bandeirantes (Brazil) and Nonis (Bolivia).

    Group D will be played in Montevideo, Uruguay. Hosts Trouville, Argentina’s Libertad, Brazilian giants Uberlandia and Chile’s Universidad de Concepcion line-up in that section.
