VEN - Richard Lugo recorded his 1,000th career block

PUERTO LA CRUZ (Liga Profesional) - Richard Lugo recorded his 1,000th career block on a weekend which saw his Trotamundos side claim sole leadership in the Venezuelan Liga Profesional.

The defending champions went down 109-91 to Marinos on Saturday but bounced back to beat the 2006 runners-up 87-67 24 hours later.

The second game saw Lugo contribute 17 points, 10 rebounds and several key blocks to take him over the personal milestone.

Marinos are second with Cocodrilos third.

Cocodrilos shared a two-game series with fourth-placed Guaros - winning the first game 75-73 on Saturday before the hosts hit back to win game two 84-80 in overtime.
