VEN - Red-hot Trotamundos, Marinos lead in Venezuela
PUERTO LA CRUZ (Liga Profesional) - Trotamundos are riding an eight-game winning streak in Venezuela's top flight after sweeping Panteras in a pair of contests over the weekend. The Carabobo-based side saw off Gatos 91-76 on Wednesday - Shaun Fountain and Desmond Ferguson netted 16 points apiece - and then without national team star Richard Lugo, prevailed 92-87 on Saturday as Ferguson poured in 22 points.

Tomas Aguilera then scored 21 to help Trotamundos win 99-89 on Sunday in Sebucan.
Trotamundos have 16 victories and 10 defeats and are level with the team they beat in last year's finals, Marinos.
On Saturday, Lee Benson netted 36 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and Jermaine Walker recorded 35 points as Marinos defeated Gaiteros 98-87 on Saturday.
On Sunday, Walker scored 24 and Benson 21 as Marinos won again over Gaiteros, 103-92.
The two wins followed last Wednesday's 91-89 home defeat to Guaros.
Third place belongs to Cocodrilos, who have a couple of games in hand.
The Caracas-based side were beaten 108-107 at Gaiteros in Maracaibo after overtime.
They hit back with an 88-83 win over Guaiqueries on Saturday to end a five-game losing streak, Victor David Diaz leading the way with 21 points.
On Sunday, Cocodrilos defeated Guaiqueries 92-79 while Lara-based Guaros are fourth.
After defeating Marinos on Wednesday, Guaros lost twice on their visit to Gatos - 84-81 on Saturday and 87-83 on Sunday.
