In the second game Venezuela reacted, shutting down the Puerto Rican shooters from the perimeter to get the win.

"We we focused and had a tight defense from the start and my players didn't allow any shots from outside. We worked hard and it showed at the end. That is the way we need to play to complete our objective in Puerto Rico," said Venezuelan head coach Nestor Salazar.

Oscar Torres had 13 points, Greivis Vásquez 10 and Héctor Romero 8 for Venezuela. Carlos Rivera netted 10 and Alexander Falcón 8 to lead Puerto Rico.
