They edged Cocodrilos from Caracas 102-92 on Sunday night to end up with a 19-23 win-loss record.
Terquin Mott top scored with 21 points and Venezuela international Carlos Morris had 18 to help Gatos beat Cocodrilos for the second time this weekend.
On Saturday they won 115-113 in overtime, thanks to 23 points from Greg Lewis.
Guaiqueries from Margarita also won twice this weekend, beating Gaiteros to grab fourth spot in the standings, with 22 wins and 20 losses.
Saturday saw Guaiqueries win 79-74, with Rogers Washington helping himself to 21 points, while Sunday's 81-79 triumph relegated nearest rivals Gaiteros to fifth spot.
Leaders Trotamundos finished the regular season with a 28-14 campaign after being beaten twice by Guaros from Lara, who took third place in the standings with a 26-16 record.
Cordell Henry and Venezuela international Diego Guevara helped Guaros win 93-83 on Saturday, with 23 and 17 points respectively, while Heissler Guillent netted 16 points in Sunday's 92-85 triumph.
Trotamundos will meet Gatos in the best-of-seven play-offs, which start on Wednesday.
Reigning champions Marinos from Anzoategui ended up second, with 26 wins and 16 defeats, and will now face Gaiteros.
Marinos thrashed rock-bottom Panteras from Miranda 108-91 on Saturday and 110-96 24 hours later.
The other play-off tie will see Guaros enjoy home court advantage in their series against Guaiqueries.
The six-team play-offs will see the three winners and a 'lucky loser' - the loser who won more matches or scored more points than the other losers - qualify for the semi-finals.
