MIAMI (Olympics) - Dwyane Wade intends to play at his third and final Olympics this summer at the London Games.
A member of the USA team that won the bronze medal in 2004 and gold in 2008, the 29-year-old Wade wants to represent his country again.
And if he does?
"This is my last run," he said.
"No chance (Wade will return for another Olympics). No chance at all. Not a chance."
Wade thought the title run at the Beijing Games four years ago was going to be his last time as a Team USA player but some of his teammates have told him to play in Britain.
"There are so many great young players in this league, and you want to give everybody an opportunity to be able to play on that stage," Wade said.
"And I've been able to play on that stage two times already. I got a chance to win my gold medal so I thought, 'This is a great way to end it.
"All the guys kind of were like, 'You're playing.'"
"Melo (Carmelo Anthony, CP (Chris Paul), Bron (LeBron James), they wouldn't let me think about not playing. So everybody kind of convinced me, 'We're going to do it again together.' And I told them if they're back in, I'm in."
Wade has gotten off to a flying start this season with the Miami Heat.
He has hit game-winning shots in the closing seconds against the Charlotte Bobcats and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
None of the USA players at the Beijing Games represented the Americans at the 2010 FIBA World Championship, but that did not stop Mike Krzyzewski's side from storming to the gold medal.
There are likely to be members of the last two USA teams in the country's Olympic squad in London.
USA Basketball are expected to announce a preliminary squad of 18 to 20 players for the London Games in mid-January.
