USA - Wade becomes father again

CHICAGO (NBA) - Team USA star Dwyane Wade has become a father for the second time after his wife Siohvaughn gave birth to Zion Malachi Airamis Wade in Chicago late on Tuesday evening.

Zion weighed in a 6lb 11oz, and Wade reported on his personal website that both mother and son are doing well.

"We are very excited and blessed to welcome our second child into the world," said Wade in a statement. "We are really happy and everyone is healthy."

Zion is brother to Zaire, who turned five in February.

Wade, the MVP of last year's NBA Finals, battled injury this season, which ended for Miami when they lost to the Chicago Bulls in the first-round of the play-offs.

Wade missed several games late in the regular season with a dislocated left shoulder, and he will miss Team USA's FIBA Americas campaign this summer after undergoing surgery on the problem.
