    USA - Parker and Ginobili clip Hornets’ wings

Parker scored 23 points, Ginobili added 19 and Tim Duncan chipped in with 12 and 16 rebounds for the Spurs, who have won 10 of the last 11 meetings in the series

    NEW YORK (NBA) - Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili combined to help steer the San Antonio Spurs to a 99-86 triumph over New Orleans Hornets.

    Parker scored 23 points, Ginobili added 19 and Tim Duncan chipped in with 12 and 16 rebounds for the Spurs, who have won 10 of the last 11 meetings in the series.

    San Antonio held a 26-12 advantage by the end of the first quarter and led by as many as 22 points in the second period.

    New Orleans pulled within eight points midway through the fourth quarter but got no closer as they saw a three-game winning streak snapped.

    Turkish center Mehmet Okur scored 27 points as the Utah Jazz posted a 102-94 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

    Okur scored 18 points in the first half and then capped a 10-0 run with a short jumper with 4:37 left in the third period that gave the Jazz a 71-59 lead.

    Toronto never got closer than three points thereafter as Okur finished 9-of-19 from the floor and made 7-of-8 free throws.

    Carlos Boozer also posted his 30th double-double for Utah with 23 points and 19 rebounds, while Chris Bosh scored 29 points and added 11 rebounds for Toronto, who had won four of their previous five games.

    Antawn Jamison collected 31 points and 16 rebounds as the Washington Wizards retained possession of first place in the Southeast Division with a 114-93 triumph over the Orlando Magic, who suffered their fourth straight defeat.

    The game was tied 45-45 at half-time before Washington scored 38 points in the third quarter to take an eight-point cushion into the final 12 minutes.

    The Wizards put away the contest early in the fourth quarter, pushing their advantage to 16 points in the first four and a half minutes and to as many as 23 points down the stretch.

    Andre Iguodala scored a huge basket in overtime as the Philadelphia 76ers edged the Miami Heat 98-95 to snap a three-game losing streak.

    Philadelphia trailed 91-90 when Iguodala stole the ball and went in for a slam dunk with 1:59 left in the extra session.

    From there, Willie Green and Kyle Korver sank two free throws each to help the Sixers push their advantage to 96-91 with 25.1 seconds remaining.

    Iguodala, Green and Andre Miller led the 76ers with 16 points apiece.

    Marcus Camby scored a season-high 26 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as the Denver Nuggets posted a 110-99 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

    Allen Iverson had 25 points and nine assists and JR Smith added 14 points off the bench for Denver (19-17), who will play one more game before welcoming back Carmelo Anthony from suspension on Monday.

    Anthony was fined and suspended for 15 games by the NBA for his part in a brawl with the New York Knicks on December 16.

    Veteran Cliff Robinson scored on a follow shot with 2.8 seconds left as the New Jersey Nets posted a 101-100 victory over great rivals the Knicks.

    The oldest man on the court at 40, Robinson had 11 points and six rebounds and made the crucial play after the Knicks roared back from a double-digit fourth-quarter deficit to take the lead.

    David Lee gave New York a 100-99 lead with 9.7 seconds left on a put-back of Jamal Crawford's missed jumper.

    The Nets came down and cleared out for Vince Carter, whose drive and wild lay-up attempt met iron, but Robinson tipped in the ball over Knicks center Eddy Curry with just under a second remaining.

    Gerald Wallace returned after sitting out the last seven games with a shoulder injury to score 18 points and grab a season-high 15 rebounds as the Charlotte Bobcats posted a 96-75 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

    And Kevin Martin scored 22 points as the Sacramento Kings recorded a 96-91 win over the Boston Celtics in a game involving struggling teams.

    Chauncey Billups scored 25 points, including a key three-pointer, as the Detroit Pistons posted a 104-98 double-overtime triumph over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

    Steve Nash hit two big baskets and two free throws down the stretch, and Amare Stoudemire scored 23 points as the Phoenix Suns won their 12th straight game with a 106-101 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

    And Ray Allen scored 21 points to lead five players in double figures as the Seattle SuperSonics claimed a 99-72 success over the Milwaukee Bucks.
