NEW YORK (NBA) - LeBron James has already accomplished many things in his three-year career, but until Wednesday, he never had made a game-winning shot.

James, who recorded his fifth triple-double of the season, nailed a jumper with nine-tenths of a second remaining in overtime to lift the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 120-118 overtime win against the Charlotte Bobcats.

The 21-year-old, who has been named to the Team USA preliminary squad for the FIBA World Championship, collected 37 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds for the Cavaliers.

His most important assist came with four-tenths of a second left in regulation, when he found Ronald Murray for a tying 3-pointer from the right corner.

Ronald Murray and Drew Gooden had 19 points apiece for Cleveland, while Lithuania's Zydrunas Ilgauskas contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Charlotte Raymond Felton scored 10 of his 30 points in overtime and added 10 assists, seven rebounds and five steals.

Argentina's Manu Ginobili scored 26 points for the Spurs, while Tim Duncan had 22 and six rebounds. France's Tony Parker scored nine of his 14 points in the third period as San Antonio tried to rally.

Chauncey Billups finished with a team-high 24 points and 10 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons beat the Miami Heat 82-73, but it was Tayshaun Prince and Antonio McDyess who made the difference offensively in the decisive fourth quarter.

Shaquille O'Neal led all scorers with 27 points for the Heat, but Dwyane Wade was successfully shut down by the Pistons defence, and scored only 13 points on three of 15 shooting.

Dwight Howard registered 23 points and seven rebounds off the bench and Turkey international Hedo Turkgolu scored 13 of his 16 points in the first half as the Orlando Magic coasted to a 111-87 triumph over the New York Knicks, who absorbed their 26th double-digit loss.

Serbia & Montenegro's Darko Milicic continues to go from strength to strength since his trade from Detroit, and he scored a season high 13 points, adding seven rebounds.

Former Magic star Steve Francis had a tough night, playing just 11 minutes and scoring only two points for New York.

Star swingman Paul Pierce kept Boston's playoff dreams alive, scoring 32 points to help the Celtics to a 110-96 win over the Toronto Raptors, who wasted 31 points from Mike James. Delonte West added 21 for Boston.

Kobe Bryant scored 28 points and Kwame Brown added a season-high 21 with 12 rebounds for the Los Angeles Lakers in an 87-80 win over the Sacramento Kings.

In Philadelphia, the 76ers welcomed Allen Iverson back to the starting lineup and the NBA's second leading-scorer helped them end a four-game losing streak, beating the Atlanta Hawks 115-106. Iverson had 29 points and 12 assists in the game.

Indiana were also benefiting from the return of a key man as Jermaine O'Neal came back from a two-month absence to scored 16 points in a 95-85 win over the Chicago Bulls.

The All-Star forward entered the game from the bench midway through the first quarter and needed all of 24 seconds to find the basket.
