The San Antonio swingman was rewarded after helping the Spurs go 4-0 last week.
Ginobili, who has been used as a reserve over the last two months, averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the Spurs, who are riding a season-high 12-game winning streak.
The Eastern award went to Team USA superstar LeBron James, after he led the Cleveland Cavaliers to wins in all four of their games last week.
The superstar swingman averaged a league-leading 32.8 points per game on 52% shooting while collecting 8.5 rebounds and 7.8 assists.
It is the 10th career weekly award for James, who highlighted his outstanding week with a season-high 41 points in Wednesday's 101-97 overtime victory over rival Detroit.
