DAVIDSON (NCAA) - Rarely has a player caused a stir in American college basketball the way Stephen Curry did last season with the Davidson Wildcats. A member of the United States’ silver-medal winning side at the 2007 FIBA U19 FIBA World Championship in Serbia, Curry, 20, is a junior at Davidson where he plays for coach Bob McKillop. His terrific performances helped propel the Southern Conference champions into the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament where they narrowly missed out on a place in the Final Four. Curry has this season taken over the point guard duties following the graduation of Jason Richards. Jeff Taylor of FIBA.Com travelled to North Carolina from Europe and met with Curry ahead of the Wildcats’ clash with Florida Atlantic in the Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off.
