TORONTO (NBA) - Spain's Jose Calderon came up short in his bid of equaling Micheal Williams' record of 97 consecutive made free throws.

The 27-year-old, who had made 87 straight since a missed a free throw on April 11, 2008,  was off target with the second of two attempts in Friday's 96-85 home defeat to Milwaukee.

"I think everybody knows about (the streak)," Calderon said.

"It's over and that's it. It's not a big thing for me. It didn't matter before, it doesn't matter now.

"I'm just mad because I missed a free throw. I'll try and start another one next game."

Calderon had 16 points and six assists in the Raptors' next game but didn't attempt any free throws in a 113-90 home loss to Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic.

Team USA's Howard, the leading vote-getter for this year's All-Star Game, had 29 points and 14 rebounds.

Toronto are now 19-30 while Orlando are flying high at 36-10.

In other games on Sunday, Boston won 109-101 over Minnesota, Cleveland defeated Detroit 90-80 and Sacramento edged Oklahoma City.

On Saturday, Portland's French rookie Nicolas Batum had one of his best scoring games with 16 points in the Trail Blazers' 122-108 home victory over Utah.

France's biggest star in North America, San Antonio point guard Tony Parker, had 25 points and seven assists in the Spurs' 106-93 triumph over New Orleans.

The Los Angeles Lakers beat Memphis 115-98 with Kobe Bryant pouring in 25 points and Pau Gasol 24 but Phil Jackson's team lost center Andrew Bynum to a sprained knee.

The Lakers should know more about the severity of the injury on Monday.

Australia international Andrew Bogut is making a big difference to the Milwaukee Bucks since returning to the line-up after missing eight games with lower back spasms.

Bogut came off the bench on Saturday and had nine points and six rebounds in 16 minutes of Milwaukee's 110-107 victory over Atlanta.

Milwaukee are trying to regroup following the loss of Team USA guard Michael Redd to a serious left knee injury on January 24 that ended his season.
