OKLAHOMA CITY (2010 FIBA World Championship) - Team USA's Kevin Durant has revealed that he visited United States President Barack Obama and played basketball at the White House.
The MVP of the World Championship travelled home to spend some time with President Obama on September 18.
"It was a good feeling to meet the president," Durant said in The Oklahoman.
"Of course I always wanted to do that. Me being from D.C., it was pretty cool to see him.
"I was excited to get that opportunity. It's something I'm always going to remember."
Among those who accompanied Durant to the White House were his mother and grandmother.
Of the latter, Durant said: "She's been in D.C. for 60 years and never got to meet the president.
"Now we have the first African-American president, and that felt good for me to give her that opportunity."
