SAN ANTONIO (WNBA) - Katie Douglas nailed a late three-pointer to lift the Eastern Conference to victory in the WNBA All-Star game.
Douglas put her team on top with 56.7 seconds left and they pulled away to win 118-113.
The Eastern team was led by Team USA stars Cappie Pondexter and Tina Charles, who had 17 and 15 points respectively.
They were playing against international team-mates too, with Swin Cash leading the West with 21 points and 12 rebounds to win the MVP award for a second time.
"I think so many players played well. It could've been anyone," Cash said.
Another United States international, Rebekkah Brunson, added 20 points and nine rebounds for the West after starting in place of injured Los Angeles Sparks center Candace Parker.
Before the game, WNBA president Laurel Richie confirmed next year's game could be skipped to allow players to focus on the London Olympics.
"We're thrilled that it's an Olympic year, and we'll obviously build our schedule to accommodate that," Richie said.
