SALT LAKE CITY (NBA) - Salt Lake City may be more than 3,000 miles away from Alaska but Utah Jazz big man Carlos Boozer is never far from his home state.

Boozer, who played to rave reviews for Team USA at the Athens Olympics, has brought his state a little closer with a tattoo at the top of his right arm.

"I'm from Alaska, so on the top of my shoulder is the Alaskan Mountains and under that is the skyline of Juneau, where I'm from," Boozer said on the Jazz's official website.

"Then there's a picture of me, and under that it says `God's Will.' The message is, that even though I came from a small town, God had a plan for me, and I will follow that plan."

What a plan it's turned out to be!

Boozer spent three seasons at Duke University before turning pro and was taken in the second round by Cleveland. He then signed a six-year deal with Utah and last season led them in scoring with a career-high of 17.8 points per game although he missed the final 31 games with a strained right foot.
