URU - Uruguay name squad

MONTEVIDEO (FIBA Americas Championship) - Uruguay coach Alberto Espasandin has unveiled his squad for the forthcoming FIBA Americas Championship.

Uruguay claimed the bronze medal in the recent Pan American Games but will be without Gustavo Barrera for the showpiece tournament in Las Vegas, which tips-off on August 22.

Barrera faces an operation after picking up a knee injury.

Espasandin said: "The medal gave a lot of faith to the team, but the rivals in the FIBA Americas Championship will be harder and we have to be realistic.

"To finish in the top five will be a good result."
