URU - Uruguay announce squad for U18 Champs

MONTEVIDEO (National Team) - Uruguay coaches Fernando Cabrera and Alejandro Alvarez have named a 12-man roster to play in the South American U18 Championship in Venezuela.

The tournament will take place in Guanare city from June 14 and the Charruas have been drawn in Group B with Ecuador, Brazil and Chile.

Group A includes Venezuela, Peru, Colombia and Argentina.

The top two in each group will meet in the semi-finals, while the third-placed sides will fight for fifth place and the bottom teams will dispute the seventh-place play-off.

Before flying to Venezuela, Uruguay have games against Argentina away on June 8, 9 and 10 and at home on June 25 and 26.
