URU - Espasandin names 21 in latest Uruguay squad

The first Uruguayan in the NBA, Atlanta Hawks reserve Batista is one of the most important players in the squad and among four centres chosen in the pre-selection list, despite not having too much of game time in recent months.
Among eight new faces in the national team list are point guards Jason Granger, Juan Pablo Silveira and Gustavo Barrera, shooting guard Alfonso Gonzalez, small-forward Federico Haller, power forwards Sebastian Vazquez and Omar Galeano, and centre Sebastian Gobba.
The men's basketball competition in the Pan American Games will take place in Rio de Janeiro from July 25 to 29.
Uruguay have been drawn in Group B, alongside Argentina, the United States and Panama, while hosts Brazil share Group A with the US Virgin Islands, Canada and Puerto Rico.
The draw for the FIBA Americas Championship is yet to be made.
